why?

i bet you are wondering why i chose to start a blog about not wanting to be a vegetarian. well. i figured that i am probably not the only one out there who has made the choice to cut out meat. whether it’s through your own volition or someone else’s [partner, spouse, child, doctor, etc]. so, why not put it out there for others to share?
my other reason is quite selfish. i wanted more recipes and suggestions to help keep our kitchen an inspired one. i have scoured the web and struggle, on a pretty regular basis, to keep the spice in our kitchen. most veggie recipes contain cheese or cream, which is a big no-no for my belly. and the vegan recipes are slightly scary – it’s not a particularly good sign when you have no idea what the ingredients are, or cannot find them in the grocery store.
that’s it. really.
i am hoping that through this blog, all you veggies out there – reluctant and otherwise – will share recipes, your stories about how you became a vegetarian, and other delightful goodies. i look forward to the journey.

I like your blog and think it’s actually a great approach to reach fence-sitters on the veggie issue
I was a veggie for many years before health reasons dictated that I needed to return to the evils of meat (I have a problem with chronic low blood sugar that veggie proteins, as of yet, haven’t seemed to address). I hope you’ll have lots of creative ideas about veggie eating to share!

Hello, welcome to the wonderful world of veggies, haha. I’ve been a vegan for almost 6 years now and love cooking. You can make most recipes vegan by taking out the meat, or using substitutes, but there’s lots of great recipes out there too. My blog has vegan recipes you can check out and I enjoy going to http://www.vegweb.com to get ideas too.
